Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

Fall is in the air! I would say it is my favorite time of year, but I think I can find an excuse to make pretty much anytime of year awesome! However, this time of year seems to draw the family to the kitchen more often. From the turning of the leaves, to trips to the pumpkin patch, and now to plan for another Thanksgiving Feast! The holidays and cold weather make filling the house with scents of apples, cinnamon, pumpkin, and cranberries, is all to satisfying. All the goodness and love Thanksgiving brings, makes the holiday feast that much more special. Having the patience to wait for the feast is a bit challenging. So I decided to create a way to cheat a little…introducing the Pumpkin Pie Smoothie!

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

1/2 cup unsweetened cashew milk
1/4 cup pumpkin puree
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (or more to taste)
Pinch of sea salt
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
1/2 frozen banana (fresh works too, but the smoothie won’t be as thick)
1/2 cup ice cubes
Ground cinnamon for topping, if desired

Add all of the ingredients to your blender, puree on medium speed until it is smooth. Serve in a glass, and dust the smoothie with more cinnamon if desired.
