A fresh mind

A fresh mind, is what everyone hopes to wake with everyday. However, that may get challenged, if you live a busy life like most do. Some wake each day with thoughts of what they have to do today or deal with. Sometimes you may find yourself getting frustrated and even exhausted handling repetitive issues. Those feelings could be because your not seeing the whole picture; not seeing that there is something else to be learned from the experience. It gives a fresh perspective on patience, persistence, and perseverance.

Two quotes that come to mind when things seem to be getting a bit overwhelming. They offer a great approach on how to handle those days when you don’t feel so fresh, but know you must remain persistent:

“I have so much to accomplish today that I must meditate for two hours instead of one.” -Mahatma Gandhi

“Nothing ever goes away until it teaches us what we need to know.” -Pema Chodron

Remember these words, sit quietly and breathe. Get perspective on what you need to accomplish and be aware of how you want to handle them. The quantity of what needs to be done may not be as important as how you feel while tackling those tasks.

Permanence, perseverance, & persistence

Permanence, perseverance, & persistence, in spite of all obstacles, discouragements, and impossibilities: It is this, that in all things distinguishes the strong soul from the weak.

~Thomas Carlyle

Permanence: the state or quality of lasting or remaining unchanged indefinitely

Perseverance: quality that allows steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success

Persistence: the quality that allows someone to continue doing something or trying to do something even though it is difficult or opposed by other people; the state of occurring or existing beyond the usual, expected, or normal time
