Personal Medication Review
Personal Eco-Pharmacist ™ Services
Since becoming a Pharmacist in 1997, I have learned that especially during difficult times, people are reassessing their priorities and that their health care comes to the forefront. As the saying goes, “If you have your health, you are a rich man.”
I have also had thousands of people tell me that they consistently do not get the time with their pharmacists that they want and deserve. They leave the doctors office and pharmacy not understanding why they have been prescribed a medication (prescription or dietary supplement) nor how to take it, let alone side effects or possible drug, dietary supplement, or food interactions.
I am offering a service to close that gap – your own personal Eco-Pharmacist! The perfect blending of science and nature – someone who can give you a personalized comprehensive natural and prescription medication review.
If you are interested in a medication review, please contact me. Charges vary based on complexity of your review.
You can benefit from a medication review if:
· You take five or more medications, or 12 or more drug doses each day
· More than one physician regularly prescribes your medications, or more than one pharmacy provides them
· You take several medications and have had falls, insomnia, incontinence, or changes in mental status; generalized symptoms such as dizziness, fatigue, swelling, or muscle or joint pain; or gastrointestinal problems
· You start a new medication and a side effect occurs
To make the most of a review:
- Take notes, ask questions, and (if you’re accompanying an older relative) be an advocate if needed.
- Bring a list of medications, and their strength and dosage. Include over-the-counter (OTC) drugs, vitamins, and dietary supplements.
- List your specific concerns – potential side effects and interactions, or the impact of drugs on quality-of-life.
- Ask whether any of the medications you are taking are ineffective, unnecessary, or potentially dangerous.
- Inquire about changes in exercise, diet, sleep, or stress management that might enable you to reduce medication.
