Kid Approved Back To School Snacks

In todays Kids Corner, our guest writer, Kaila, will introduce some kid approved back to school snacks!

It’s August. Now, I know most kids don’t look forward to going back to the tests, homework, and classes, but these are some Kid-Approved back to school snacks that will make the school day great!

Ants on a log:

Ants on a log is one of my personal favorites. It is very simple to make for kids or parents. What does this delicious treat consist of? It consists of celery, your favorite nut butter, and raisins. First step to making Ants on a log is take your celery and cut it into 3 inch ribs. Next you spread your nut butter in the middle of the “log”. The last step is very simple. Take your raisins and drop them into the middle onto your nut butter. And done! Thats all there is to it!

Frozen Fruit:

This is also a very easy treat to make. First step is to take your desired fruit and slice them in half in a single layer on a tray. Place the tray in the freezer until frozen. Once they are frozen, take them off the tray and place them in a freezer safe container or bag. Whenever your craving a popsicle, just take out your frozen fruit for a healthy and delicious frozen treat!

Home made Foodle:

Want something even simpler? Well, this is for you! This very simple snack consists of a desired type of fruit, pretzels, and cheese! No instructions really needed for it!

As school approaches, I hope that these healthy, simple, and delicious snacks will give you a few ideas of your own for back to school snacks, and keep the Back-To-School Blues away!
