Insomnia tip #3: Develop a Sleep Ritual.
You have a ritual for many other things in your life, whether it is family, work, or socially related. You also need to develop a sleep ritual habit. Find a relaxing activity in the evening to prepare for sleep. It should be something you do every single night to relax and prepare your body and mind for good quality sleep. Many people who work in jobs that require them to work late know how hard it is to come home and go straight to sleep. Your body needs some time to unwind, and your mind does too. Different activities relax us all, but in general, getting fresh air, doing yoga, meditating, or listening to soothing music can be very relaxing. Many people even like to drink camomile tea every night before bed. You can personalize your sleep ritual, but the point is, make sure you make a sleep ritual and stick to it! This habit prepares your body for sleep. And we have all heard the saying, “failing to prepare is preparing to fail”.
