Happy Birthday Dr Seuss!

Happy Birthday Dr Seuss! Thank you for filling our lives with your wise words filled with lessons in life.

On March 2, 1904, one hundred and eleven years ago, Theodore Seuss Geisel, or Dr Seuss was born. I can remember as a kid I loved every Dr Seuss book I ever read! Then I was pleasantly surprised as an adult, at how fun it still is, to this day, to read Dr Seuss! I am not sure how many people realize how wise Dr Seuss was. I have a compilation of some of my favorite Dr Seuss quotes. See if any of them put a spring in your step, and make you think…

‘You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.’

‘Why fit in when you were born to stand out?’

‘Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.’

‘You are you. Now isn’t that pleasant.’

‘The more that you read, the more things that you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.’

“I meant what I said, and said what I meant.’

‘Don’t cry because its over. Smile because it happened.’

‘Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one.’

‘You’ll miss the best things if you keep your eyes shut.’

‘Think and wonder, wonder and think.’

‘You’re on your own. And you know what you know. You are the one who’ll decide where to go…’

‘Today I shall behave, as if this is the day I will be remembered.’

Happy Birthday Dr Seuss, thank you for giving me so much to share today! 🙂
