Ever feel like you’re addicted to food? There may be a reason…

Many people can relate to having food cravings and then overeating. Ever wonder why this happens? No matter how hard you try, you just cannot forget the craving. Well, there may be an answer… and the food companies may be more responsible for this than many realize. When it comes to stimulating our brains, it seems individual ingredients aren’t as important. But by combining fats, sugar and salt in innumerable ways, food makers have essentially tapped into the brain’s reward system, creating a feedback loop that stimulates our desire to eat and leaves us wanting more and more even when we’re full.
