Delicious Smoothie Recipes

Days are busy, and making sure we all get the proper nutrition is a priority. I have found that some delicious smoothie recipes solve that problem very easily!

 

**Note each recipe makes one smoothie

 

Banana Ginger Smoothie

If there is ever a day where you have an upset stomach, try this banana ginger smoothie which aids in digestion, soothes heartburn, and gives you a natural tummy remedy.

 

1 banana

3/4 C greek vanilla yogurt

1 T honey

1/2 tsp freshly grated ginger root

 

Blend all the ingredients until smooth. Enjoy!

 

Orange Creamsicle Smoothie

This is a favorite in the house, as it reminds everyone of the orange creamsicles everyone loves, but tis is healthier!

 

4 ice cubes

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

3 T orange juice concentrate, frozen

1 orange peeled

1/4 C plain yogurt

 

Blend the orange, yogurt, orange juice, vanilla and ice cubes until smooth. Enjoy!

 

Blueberry Powerhouse Smoothie

Given the amount of blueberries we picked the other day, finding good uses for them has been fun, and delicious!

 

1 1/2 C blueberries (fresh or frozen)

1/2 banana

2 tsp honey

3/4 C  vanilla almond milk

1/4 C brewed green tea, COOLED

 

Blend all ingredients until smooth and enjoy!

 

Peach Dream Smoothie

This reminds me of when I was a kid, picking fresh peaches and then having them with cream! Yum!

 

1/2 C frozen peaches

1/2 C strawberries

1/8 tsp ginger powder

1 C milk

2 T vanilla greek yogurt

2 tsp whey protein powder

3-4 ice cubes

 

Blend all ingredients together and reminisce with me!

 

Very Berry Smoothie

Living in the Pacific Northwest allows for some amazing perks…berries of all kinds! The trip to the berry farms make memories to last a lifetime! This recipe makes 2 servings.

 

1 C fresh raspberries

3/4 C almond milk

1/4 C pitted cherries

1/4 C fresh strawberries

1/4 C  fresh black berries

1/4  fresh blueberries

1 T honey

2 tsp grated ginger root

1 tsp ground flax seeds

2 tsp fresh lemon juice

 

Blend all ingredients until smooth and enjoy a trip to the berry farm with me!
